The Jain temples in the Fort, built between 12th and 16th century, are rich in elaborate stone carvings. Jaisalmer used to be a state, carawans and trade crossing here, the desert area around Jaisalmer with its people and culture is part of the unique and magic atmosphere of Jaisalmer.
